Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment as Probationary Officers (POs) in State Bank of India. Candidates selected are liable to be posted anywhere in India.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • A Candidate must be Graduate in any discipline from  a recognised university or any equivalent Qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
  • The individuals who are in the Final year of their Graduation/semester might likewise apply temporarily subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 10.08.2014.
  • A Candidate must be above 21 years and below 30 years of age (as on 01-04-2014.
  • A Candidate must be a Citizen of India.
Selection Process: The Process for the Selection of Probationary Officers in State Bank of India, involves a Written test, Group Discussion and Interview.
  • A Written Objective type of test will be conducted comprising of 200 marks that contains English Language, General Awareness, Marketing & Computers, Data Analysis & Interpretation & Reasoning. The Time duration will be 2 hours. The Candidates are required to qualify in each section by securing pass marks to be decided by the bank.
  • Another Test, A Descriptive Test with a time duration of 1 hour comprising of 50 marks to test the English language of the Candidate.
  • Those candidates who qualify both objective and Descriptive Test will be called for Group Discussion followed by personal Interview. This Section will Comprise of 50 Marks (20 & 30 respectively).
