A Good news especially for "10+2" Candidates (with English as a compulsory Subject) as the Indian post has announced the notification of the recruitment of "Postal and Sorting assistants" for the year 2014.
Who are Postal Assistants?
A Candidate applying for the post of "Postal Assistant" will be responsible for the maintenance of office environment as a whole. The Job of Postal Assistant is to make database entries, office management planning, and implementation of different projects etc.
Who are Sorting Assistants?
A
Candidate applying for the post of "Sorting Assistant" will have to sort or arrange the letters according to their district,City, or you can say area wise.
Both the above are government jobs and will be employed under Government of India, Ministry of Communication & Information Technology, Department of Posts.
Is there any age limit?
yes, A Candidate must fall within this range 18-27 years as on 27.03.2014. Moreover age relaxation is provided to the belonging to the category as per the extant orders.

How to Apply?
A candidate has to apply online (Click here to apply) and fill up the online application form. After submitting application form print Challan to pay fee and goto epayment post office to pay fee (Locate your nearest ). Login again and check payment status after confirmation of payment, print registration slip.
How Selection will be made?
A candidate has to pass an aptitude test (Click here for Syllabus), a Common merit list shall be prepared in respect of all categories of posts put together. Applicants numbering 5 times the total number of vacancies in each category shall be declared qualified in descending order of merit based on the marks secured by them in the aptitude test(I) for taking the computer/Typing test (II). There will be no Interview and no weightage for marks secured by the applicants in 10+2 class will be given while preparing the merit lists.
Application & Examination
There will be Rs. 100/- application from registration fee for all categories, and Rs. 400/- as examination fee for General and OBC categories for all male Applicants.
Note: Candidates belonging to other candidates and Female candidates are exempted from Examination fee.
Pay Scale
Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade pay of Rs. 2400 plus admissible allowances.
